The Dylan Alcott Foundation needed a range of video coverage for their Ability Fest 2026 event…
Over the course of the night, Big Dog captured several hero videos telling the stories of up and coming DJs performing at the festival, documented the surprise of a few lucky grant recipients, and recorded a huge amount of content for the festival’s many sponsors, including a dedicated thank you video to their partners featuring Dylan Alcott. Simultaneously, Big Dog also coordinated the execution of a large batch of social media content captured on the night to support the foundation in promoting their event after the big night for weeks to come.
Sponsor Content
The Ability Fest 2026 was sponsored by nearly 20 brands such as ANZ, Nike, and Uber. The Big Dog team captured bespoke footage for each brand, showing off their installations and contributions to the festival, plus gathering footage for them to use in their promotion of the festival across their own social media. Each partner had specific requirements and briefs.
Performer Hero Videos
The foundation needed videos to help tell the stories of DJs Noah and Cooper. These videos featured interviews with the artists, stylish b-roll of their performances at the festival, and exciting multi-media edits to bring the videos to life.
Grant Recipient Hero Videos
Big Dog created another two hero videos following grant recipients Angus and Johnny. Big Dog ran multi-cam setups to capture the powerful emotions when these recipients were awarded the game-changing grants. Interviews were also conducted afterwards.
Social Media Content
The Dylan Alcott Foundation also needed a large volume of video content optimised to promote the event from a social media perspective. The team executed 20 social media concepts such as ‘A day in the life of a volunteer’, fit checks/montages, and a trendy site tour. It was important to interact with festival-goers and tap into the fun side of the festival.
